COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M's fall practice session and the chase for the Omaha Cup wraps up within the next two weeks with the Championship Series beginning Thursday, October 26.

The best-of-five series includes a pair of games this week, Thursday and Friday, as well as three games next week, Wednesday (Nov. 1), Thursday (Nov. 2), and Friday (Nov. 3). The first four games of the series will begin at 3 p.m. and the finale has a 6 p.m. start time. The first two games will be 9-inning affairs and next week's contests will all be 7-inning games.

As has become tradition under head coach Rob Childress, the Aggies spend the fall competing internally for the Omaha Cup, a staple of the Texas A&M baseball culture. The event features the Aggies being split into different teams which compete against one another both on-and-off the field in order to sharpen the competitive nature and chemistry of the squad. Fall practices and scrimmages are once again open to the public on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

The Aggies are coming off a 41-23 campaign in which they earned a bid to their school-record 11th consecutive NCAA Championship, claimed a regional title for the third consecutive year and ninth time in school history, and advanced to the College World Series for the sixth time in school annals.
