DALLAS- Texas A&M's women's golf team takes to the Trinity Forest Invitational for a two-day, 54-hole tournament that starts on Monday, October 30. The tournament takes place at the par 72 / 6,372 yard Trinity Forest Golf Club, which hosts the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson Classic, starting in 2018.
The field features 13 schools, in addition to hosts SMU, BYU, Campbell, Chattanooga, Houston, Kansas State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UNLV and UTSA join the Aggies for the tournament.
The Aggies finished second in last season's inaugural Trinity Forest Invitational, after the event was shortened to just 18 holes due to weather. Bianca Fabrizio, a senior on last season's team, took home medalist honors.
Texas A&M is using the same lineup that finished tied for second at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational a week ago. Two-time All-American Maddie Szeryk, Courtney Dow, Morgan Lay, Amber Park and Chloe Velasco make up the lineup, while Elizabeth Caldarelli competes as an individual. The Aggies posted back-to-back under par rounds to rally from seventh place after the first round.
The tournament starts with 36 holes on Monday, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Live Scoring is available at golfstat.com. Admission to the event is free.
After this tournament, the Aggies break until the spring semester, starting Feb. 9-11 at the Florida State Match-Up in Tallahassee, Fla.
