Women's Golf In Fourth At Trinity Forest Invitational

DALLAS- Texas A&M women's golf team is in fourth place after two rounds of the Trinity Forest Invitational, shooting a 21-over 597 over 36 holes on Monday. Senior Maddie Szeryk leads the Aggies with an even par 144 over two rounds, good for fifth place.

DALLAS- Texas A&M women's golf team is in fourth place after two rounds of the Trinity Forest Invitational, shooting a 21-over 597 over 36 holes on Monday. Senior Maddie Szeryk leads the Aggies with an even par 144 over two rounds, good for fifth place.
 
In the first of two rounds on Monday, the Aggies shot a 4-over 292 on the par 72 / 6,372 yard Trinity Forest Golf Club, home of the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson Classic starting in 2018. Texas A&M shot a 17-over 305 in the afternoon round, to sit 11 strokes back of tournament leader Houston (586/+10).
 
Szeryk shot even par in both rounds on Monday, giving her par-or-better scores in 12 of her 14 rounds this season. She sits in fifth place, three strokes off tournament leader Reid Isaac of Kansas State (141/-3).
 
Courtney Dow and Amber Park are both tied for 24th at 151 (+7) after two rounds. The sophomore Dow shot 75-76, while the freshman Park had a 2-under 70 in the first round, followed by an 81. Morgan Lay is tied for 41st after shooting a 75-80=155 (+11) and Chloe Velasco rounds out the Aggie lineup with a 19-over 86-77=163.
 
Competing as an individual, Texas A&M freshman Elizabeth Caldarelli shot a 77-78=155 to tie for 41st at 11-over.
