Women's Golf Finishes T-4th At Trinity Forest Invitational

DALLAS- Texas A&M's women's golf team finished in a tie for fourth at the Trinity Forest Invitational to conclude the fall season. Senior Maddie Szeryk led the Aggies, finishing in a tie for fifth individually.
The Aggies shot a 314 (+26) on Tuesday to close the 54-hole tournament at Trinity Forest Golf Club, home of the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson Classic, starting in 2018. Texas A&M finished the tournament with a score of 911 (+47), as Kansas State won the event with a 29-over 893.
Szeryk led the Aggies on the par 72 / 6,372 yard course, finishing in a tie for fifth with a score of 222 (+6) after a final round 78. Szeryk has finished in the Top 10 in all five tournaments she has played this season, and has finished in the Top 5 in four of those tournaments.
Sophomore Courtney Dow finished with a 12-over 228 after a final round 77 (+5), finishing tied for 19th, her fourth Top 20 finish of the season. Freshman Morgan Lay shot a 77 in Tuesday's round, finishing tied for 34th at 232 (+16).
Freshman Amber Park finished the tournament with a 238 (+20), tying for 45th after a final round 85, and junior Chloe Velasco, who shot a 10-over 82 on Tuesday, rounded out the Aggie lineup with a 29-over 245 to finish 66th. Competing as an individual, freshman Elizabeth Caldarelli finished 65th with a 28-over 244, shooting an 84 (+12) in the final round.
The Aggies now break until the spring semester, starting the spring season at the Florida State Match-Up from February 9-11.
