COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Trailing by two in the game's final frame, the Plowboys rallied for a six-run seventh to steal game three of the Omaha Cup Championship Series, 10-6, from the Farmers Wednesday evening on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The lead changed hands four times in the game's first three innings.
Chandler Morris of the Plowboys delivered the first blow with a solo shot off starter Dustin Saenz first inning. The Farmers claimed the lead in the home half of the first on an two-run RBI double from Hunter Coleman.
In the third, Logan Foster put the Plowboys in front on a two-run opposite field blast for the 3-2 edge. The lead didn't last long as the Farmers piled up four runs in the bottom of the third with three consecutive two-out hits. Will Frizzell and Cole Bedford provided RBI singles while Jorge Gutierrez drove in two with a double putting the Farmers up 6-3 after three.
Chandler Jozwiak came in to relieve Plowboy starter Cason Sherrod, who allowed six runs in 3.0 innings with three strikeouts. Jozwiak shut down the previously potent Farmer bats for the final 4.0 frames. He struck out eight and allowed just three base hits while earning the win.
Jason Ruffcorn came on in relief of Asa Lacy in the sixth for the Farmers after the Plowboys loaded the bases and knocked a run off the lead. Ruffcorn got Bryce Blaum to line into a double play ending the threat and holding the score at 6-4.
With one out left in the seventh, things turned south for the Farmers and Ruffcorn as walked Aaron Walters to extend the game and load the bases. Mason Corbett tied the game up on a single and Cole Taylor put the Plowboys in front with a two-run double. The runs kept coming as Blaum, Foster and Blake would all reach as the Plowboys batted around, piling up six runs to take a 10-6 lead to the bottom of the seventh where Jozwiak closed the book on the Farmers.

The Farmers, who lead the series 2-1, will look to clinch the Cup again on Thursday at 3:05 p.m. The final game of the fall season is set for Friday at 6:05 p.m. Both games are scheduled for seven innings.
