The No. 19 Texas A&M women's basketball team hosts an early-season Top 25 showdown Thursday, as the Aggies take on No. 10 Oregon in the Preseason WNIT Semifinal at Reed Arena.

The Aggies have started 2-0 for the fifth straight season, winning games to open the season against Houston and Louisiana-Lafayette. Four Aggies, Chennedy Carter, Khaalia Hillsman, Anriel Howard and Danni Williams, have scored in double figures in both of the Aggies' first two games to start the year.
 
The Ducks, an Elite Eight squad from a year ago, return 2017 USBWA Freshman of the Year Sabrina Ionescu, who already has five career triple-doubles. Oregon routed Cal State Northridge and Drake to reach the semifinals of the Preseason WNIT.
 
The game features the two leading scorers from the United States' FIBA U19 World Cup team that took silver at this summer's tournament. Carter led the Stars & Stripes with 16.1 points per game, and goes up against Ruthy Hebard from Oregon, who averaged 11.0 points and 8.0 rebounds over the seven games in the tournament.

Thursday's contest is Texas A&M Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night, with tickets available starting at just $3 for faculty and staff, available online or at the door.
 
The winner of this game faces No. 5 Louisville or No. 24 Michigan in the final of the Preseason WNIT. The loser of this game concludes their time in the Preseason WNIT.
