On tonight's game…
"I was happy with how we attacked at the plate. Both teams did a great job of coming back in the end. They were able to put a lot of pressure on the pitchers and defense. It was nice to see Samantha Show get a nice start and settle in and be able to come in and close the game in commanding fashion. Blake-Ann Fritsch is really hitting the ball well. Tori Vidales hit the big grand slam, and I thought Ashley Walters did a great job hitting two home runs. I see a lot of positive things, and I see things we can get better at. I love the Maroon & White Series, because the youngsters get a chance to play. They are all in the lineup getting a lot of at bats, and that is what the fall is all about."
On both teams making late comebacks…
"It shows me that they know how to fight and above all else compete. Some days you are going to be great. Some days it is going to be a battle. I want to see our team compete, and I want to see our youngsters learn that from the upperclassmen. We saw that today. We saw both teams get after it. To me, that makes a statement and that is a tone that we should be setting from day one."
