COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M freshman Addie McCain headed to the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., to participate in the United States Soccer Under-18 Women's National Team training camp from Nov. 26-Dec. 3.

McCain was among 24 players to be summoned into camp by head coach Jaime Frias for the age group's season-ending camp.

In her first season in Aggieland, McCain appeared in 22 matches, including 17 starts. She earned SEC All-Freshman accolades as a midfielder, pocketing seven points on one goal and five assists. She logged the game-winning goal in Texas A&M's 2-1 victory against Vanderbilt. The Aggies went 15-1-1 in her 17 starts in the midfield.

McCain has prior experience with the United States National Team, attending the U-18 training camp in September 2014.

The Aggies finished the 2017 campaign with an 18-2-2 mark. The .864 winnings percentage was the best in the 25-year history of the program. The Aggies took home their third SEC Tournament title, earning their 23rd consecutive bid to the NCAA Championship to become one of five teams to make it to every NCAA tournament since 1995. With a first round win over Lamar, the Maroon and White advanced to the second round for the 20th straight season.Â
