Match Day Preview: DePaul

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 12 Texas A&M Aggies continue their three-game homestand Sunday when they host the DePaul Blue Demons in a 1:30 pm contest at Ellis Field.
The Aggies are off to a 2-0-1 start on the season. The Maroon and White are coming off a 2-2 draw against No. 19 Oklahoma State Friday evening in front of 4,614 fans at Ellis Field.
Five different Aggies have scored goals on the season with freshman Jimena Lopez leading the team with two. Stephanie Malherbe, Haley Pounds and Grace Piper have added one apiece.
The Blue Demons are 2-3 on the season. DePaul dropped a pair of one-goal decisions at in-state rivals Northwestern (0-1) and Illinois (1-2) the opening weekend before rebounding for resounding victories over Akron (5-0) and Drexel (3-0) last weekend at the Loyola Invitational. The Blue Demons lost their most recent match to Purdue (0-2) Thursday. Alexa Ben leads the team with eight points on four goals. Franny Cerny and Abigail Callahan both have two goals and one assist and Madeline Frick has chipped in with one goal and two assists. Lauren Frasca has played 428 of DePaul's 450 minutes in goal, posting a 1.05 goals-against average and one shutout.
This marks the Aggies' first-ever meeting against DePaul
Sunday is 4H/FFA Day and the contest will feature an appearance by world famous mini horse Sully.
