Texas A&M’s Quah earns SEC Freshman of the Week honors

Birmingham, Ala. – Texas A&M swimmer Jing Quah was named Southeastern Conference Female Freshman of the Week on Tuesday for her strong performance in the top-ranked Aggies' win over LSU last weekend.

Birmingham, Ala. – Texas A&M swimmer Jing Quah was named Southeastern Conference Female Freshman of the Week on Tuesday for her strong performance in the top-ranked Aggies' win over LSU last weekend.
 
It was the second time this month that Quah has earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors. She also won the honor on Jan. 9.

  • The freshman from Singapore swept the 100- and 200-yard butterfly races against the Tigers and was a part of the Aggies' winning 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
  • Quah was the only swimmer under 54 seconds in the 100 fly, as well as the only swimmer under two minutes in the 200 fly.
  • Additionally, her 100 free split in the Aggies' winning 400 free relay was one of only two under 51 seconds.
