NORFOLK, Va. – The Texas A&M women's swimming and diving team, the nation's current top-ranked Div. I team, earned the distinction of Scholar All-America team for the Fall 2017 semester, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches of America (CSCAA) announced.
Â
The two-time defending Southeastern Conference Champions, coached by Steve Bultman, Tanica Jamison and Jay Lerew, posted a semester grade point average of 3.29 (on a 4.0 scale), which was the highest GPA among all Texas A&M teams last fall.
Â
"There is a tradition of academic success for this program that is cultivated from the coaching staff on down," Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Support Services Chris Barttelbort said. "This senior class in particular took ownership of their academic goals and has the same level of pride in these accomplishments as they do in their back-to-back SEC titles."
