COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M softball's Tori Vidales was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

The senior dazzled at the plate, hitting .533 (8-for-15) with four home runs, 12 RBI, five runs scored, two walks and a stolen base.

The La Porte, Texas, native kicked off the week with a 2-for-2 performance with two RBI and a walk against SFA, before going 5-for-7 on Friday against Butler and Tulsa with three homers, two of which were grand slams, and driving in nine.

The next day, Vidales recorded her second walk-off hit of the season, with a towering homer to left against Iowa.

The first baseman tops the nation in RBI at 21 and leads the SEC in home runs with five.

The weekly honor is the first for the Aggies this season and first in Vidales' career.

Vidales and the Aggies return to action Tuesday against Lamar at 5 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Complex.
