LAFAYETTE, La. – After posting its fourth team victory in six events this season during its last outing, the Texas A&M men's golf team returns to action this week at the 33rd annual Louisiana Classics.

"This is always a fun trip for the team," Texas A&M head coach J.T. Higgins said. "The whole community gets behind the tournament and Oakbourne is a great host. We have played really well here the last two years but have come up a little short of the team title.  Coming off such a strong showing in Hawaii, I know the boys are excited to get back on the course."

TOURNAMENT / COURSE INFO
The Louisiana Classics will feature 54 holes of competition over two days, 36 holes on Monday followed by a final round of 18 holes Tuesday. The event takes place at Oakbourne Country Club, a tree-lined, picturesque venue that will play at 72 par and 6,866 yards this week.

THE FIELD
Joining No. 3 (Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings) Texas A&M in the 15-team field at the Louisiana Classics will be No. 19 Illinois, No. 28 Kent State, tournament-host Louisiana, No. 32 Louisville, McNeese State, Mississippi State, Rice, Sam Houston State, Southern Miss, Texas State, Toledo, UMKC, UTSA and ULM.

TEXAS A&M LINEUP
The Aggie lineup at the Louisiana Classics will feature senior Andrew Paysse, junior All-American Chandler Phillips, sophomores Dan Erickson and Josh Gliege along with freshman Walker Lee. Additionally, sophomore Brandon Smith will participate as an individual.

Phillips, the reigning Co-SEC Golfer of the Week, is coming off a medalist showing at the John Burns Intercollegiate that gave the Huntsville, Texas, native four career tournament victories to stand just one shy of the Texas A&M record set by Anthony Rodriguez (1991-1995).
