Thirteen Aggies achieve or improve NCAA qualifying cuts at Texas A&M Last Chance Meet

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M hosted one of the nation's fastest post-conference meets with dozens of NCAA qualifying cuts being achieved by student-athletes from all around the region at the Texas A&M Last Chance Meet over the weekend at the Student Recreation Natatorium.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M hosted one of the nation's fastest post-conference meets with dozens of NCAA qualifying cuts being achieved by student-athletes from all around the region at the Texas A&M Last Chance Meet over the weekend at the Student Recreation Natatorium.
 
With most of its conference team roster not in action, the three-time SEC Champion Texas A&M women's swimming team had 13 swimmers log first-time NCAA cuts or improve their already-existing qualifying times.  Teams competing at the Texas A&M Last Chance Meet included: Texas A&M, LSU, Houston, SMU, Oklahoma Baptist and Incarnate Word.

Additionally, sophomore Ben Walker improved his NCAA B cut in the men's 200-yard breaststroke to 1:54.25, while fellow sophomore Jake Gibbons set the school record in the 1,000 free with a time of 9:05.38.
