COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas A&M appears well-equipped to post its 12th straight top 10 team finish at the 2018 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships after qualifying an impressive 16 swimmers for the national meet on Wednesday.
The Aggies' 16 qualifiers were the second-most in the nation behind the 18 swimming qualifiers by defending champion Stanford, and Texas A&M was one of just eight teams with double-digit qualifiers. The Aggies will be seeking to add to their NCAA team when the dive crew competes at the NCAA Zone D qualifier March 5-7 at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn.
The three-time defending Southeastern Conference Champion Aggies are coming off a third-place finish at the 2017 Championships, which was the highest finish in program history. The 2018 NCAA Championships will be contested March 14-18 at the University of Minnesota.
