INDIANAPOLIS – Texas A&M will be represented four members of the 2017 football team at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine March 2-5 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Fans can watch the event live on the NFL Network or via the NFL app.
Included among the 300-plus college players at the Combine will Texas A&M's Zaycoven Henderson, Christian Kirk, Shane Tripucka and Armani Watts.
Zaycoven Henderson | DL | Longview, Texas
Henderson finished his Texas A&M career with 116 tackles, including 8.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss, in 47 games … made 26 career starts, including 11 as a senior … contributed 35 tackles with 5.0 TFLs as a senior in 12 games of action.
Christian Kirk | WR/RS | Scottsdale, Ariz.
Declared for the NFL after his junior season … in three seasons as an Aggie, Kirk gained 4,838 all-purpose yards (No. 3 in school history) and scored 33 total touchdowns (26 receiving, 6 punt returns, 1 kick return) … finished with 234 catches (No. 2) for 2,856 receiving yards (No. 3) and 26 receiving TDs (No. 3) … as a senior, Kirk led the team with 71 catches for 919 yards and 10 scores … also had a team-high 1,631 A-P yards … Kirk was a three-time first-team All-SEC selection.
Shane Tripucka | P | Allen, Texas
Former walk-on player was the Aggies' punter in 2016 and 2017 … finished his career with a 44.3 punt average, as well as 54 inside-the-20 boots … earned second-team All-America honors in 2017 after averaging 45.5 yards on 83 punts with 26 being downed inside the 20 … Tripucka helped the Aggies finish No. 3 nationally in net punting with a 42.3 average … he set a school record as a junior with 27 I-20 punts.
Armani Watts | DB | Forney, Texas
Four-year starter at safety finished his career with 328 tackles, second-most in school history by a defensive back … also contributed 10 interceptions, 19 passes broken up, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries in 48 career games (42 starts) … posted 87 tackles with four interceptions, two fumbles forced, two fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks as a senior … Watts earned first-team All-SEC honors and third-team All-America honors from the Associated Press in 2017.
