NASHVILLE- No. 15 Texas A&M has advanced to the semifinals at the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament for the fourth time in six years and will take on SEC regular-season champion and undefeated Mississippi State today at 4 p.m. at Bridgestone Arena.

The No. 5 seed Aggies (24-8, 11-5 SEC) reached the semifinals by blowing out Arkansas, 82-52, Thursday in second-round action and coming from behind to defeat No. 4 seed and 24th-ranked LSU, 75-69, in a quarterfinal matchup on Friday.

Texas A&M, which won the tournament championship in 2013, improved to 9-4 in SEC Tournament history. Since current head coach Gary Blair was hired in 2003-04, Texas A&M is 22-11 in conference tournaments with three tournament titles.

No. 1 seed Mississippi State, which defeated the Aggies, 76-55, in the regular season, received a double bye and opened its tournament run with an 81-58 victory over No. 9 seed Kentucky on Friday. The Bulldogs, aiming for their first-ever tournament title and playing in the semifinals for the third consecutive year and only the sixth time since the tournament was first held in 1980, eliminated Texas A&M in the semifinals of last year's tournament, upending the Aggies, 66-50, in Greenville, S.C.

The Texas A&M/Mississippi State winner advances to face the winner between No. 2 seed South Carolina and No. 3 seed Georgia in the championship game on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
