COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies had three players named to the 10-man Frisco Classic All-Tournament Team announced at the conclusion of Sunday's action.
The three Aggies earning the distinction included second baseman Michael Helman, shortstop Braden Shewmake and outfielder Will Frizzell.
Helman sported a .357 on-base percentage for the weekend, going 3-for-12 with one walk and one HBP and he accounted for one run and one RBI. His play in the field was stellar, including turning two double plays and contributing seven putouts and eight assists.
Shewmake hit .417 with one run and two RBI. He delivered a two-run single that helped break open Sunday's game as he batted 3-for5 in the contest.
Frizzell batted .571 with two runs, one home run and one RBI on the weekend.
The Aggies went 2-1 at the tournament, bouncing back from Friday's 4-2 opening night loss against Louisiana Tech to post a 5-4 victory over Baylor on Saturday and a 9-5 triumph over California on Sunday.
Texas A&M returns to action Tuesday when they host the Northwestern State Demons in a 6:32 p.m. contest on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
