Texas A&M men seek to make history at NCAA Swimming & Diving

MINNEAPOLIS  – The Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team will take 14 competitors to the 2018 NCAA Championships, which is the Aggies' largest national meet roster in program history. The 2018 NCAA Championships will be contested March 21-24 at Ohio State University.

MINNEAPOLIS  – The Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team will take 14 competitors to the 2018 NCAA Championships, which is the Aggies' largest national meet roster in program history. The 2018 NCAA Championships will be contested March 21-24 at the University of Minnesota.
 
The 2018 NCAA Championships start on Wednesday with the timed finals of the 800-yard freestyle relay at 6 p.m. CT. For a complete schedule, go to: http://bit.ly/2IFuBP0. Texas A&M does not have an entry in the 800 free relay and begins action on Thursday.
 
Biggest Texas A&M NCAA roster ever:
Texas A&M will take a total of 14 competitors to the 2018 NCAA Championships, which is the largest group in program history. The Aggies' NCAA roster includes seven qualified swimmers, three qualified divers and four relay-only swimmers. Texas A&M has also qualified to swim the 200- and 400-yard medley relays and the 200 freestyle relay.

Seeking history:
The Aggies were ranked No. 11 in the final top 25 poll administered by the College Swimming Coaches of America Association (CSCAA) and are within range of the program's first top 10 team finish at the NCAA Championships since 1999. The Aggies' Senior Class of 2018 has seen steady improvement at the NCAA Championships through their careers – from No. 38 as freshmen in 2015, to No. 25 in 2016 to No. 16 in 2017.
 
Texas A&M is coming off a program-best second-place finish at the 2018 SEC Championships. Prior to 2018, the Aggies' best finish at the SEC was seventh place.
