Aggies Host Saturday Afternoon Tilt vs. TCU

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies continue their spring exhibition slate Saturday as they host the TCU Horned Frogs in a 3 p.m. match at Ellis Field.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies continue their spring exhibition slate Saturday as they host the TCU Horned Frogs in a 3 p.m. match at Ellis Field.
 
The contest will be free to spectators. With Blue Bell Park hosting baseball Saturday afternoon, there will be a fee for parking in surrounding lots.
 
Fans attending the match will get a full preview of the 2018 squad with early enrollees Kendall Bates, Jordan Burbank, Macie Kolb, Karlina Sample and Tera Ziemer already in Aggieland.
 
This spring the Aggies are unblemished against collegiate foe, toppling Lamar (1-0) and Rice (5-0) in a pair of 60-minute matches. Texas A&M dropped a 1-0 decision to the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League when the pros notched a goal in the 87th minute. The Aggies played the Mexico Under-20 Women's National Team to a 1-1 draw. Ally Watt has four of A&M's seven goals this spring.

The Aggies wrapped up the 2017 season with a program-best record of 18-2-2 and an SEC Tournament Championship. The Maroon & White earned a bid to their 23rd consecutive NCAA Championship and advanced to the second round of the tournament for the 20th straight season.
 
Texas A&M returns 16 letterwinners from the 2017 campaign, including nine players who started at least 50 percent of last season's 22 matches. The returnees account for 34 of the Aggies' 46 goals from last season. Texas A&M welcomes back All-SEC performers Watt and Kendall Ritchie. Other key returnees include SEC All-Freshman Addie McCain, Texas A&M Defensive MVP Briana Alston and starting goalkeeper Cosette Morché.
 
The Frogs are coming off of two straight NCAA appearances and back-to-back 12-win seasons. The roster features 24 members from the 2017 team.

Saturday is the fourth of five playing dates for the Aggies at Ellis Field. The spring slate wraps up with a 5:30 p.m. match against the Houston Cougars on March 30.
