COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies dropped a 1-0 decision to the TCU Horned Frogs in a soccer exhibition Saturday afternoon at Ellis Field.

The Aggies lost the match despite owning a distinct advantage in shots (19-9), as well as an edge in shots-on-goal (6-5) and corner kicks (4-2).

The Horned Frogs scored the match's lone goal with 16 seconds remaining in the first half. Tijana Djuricek sent in a corner kick and found Karitas Tomasdottir for the goal.

At the intermission, A&M held the advantage in shots (5-4), but the Horned Frogs had the upper hand in shots-on-goal (3-2) and corner kicks (2-0) which accounted for the halftime lead.

Texas A&M was unable to break through in the second half despite sending a barrage of shots (14) at TCU.

The Aggies wrap up their spring slate on Friday, March 30 when they host the Houston Cougars in a 6:30 p.m. match at Ellis Field.

"Today was a good challenge and learning experience for us in our non-traditional season. I'm happy that we were able to play all of our healthy players, but not pleased with the result, even though it was just a friendly exhibition."

"We clearly created a bunch of golden scoring opportunities but couldn't hit the target with our final touch. It gives us some clear topics to clean up prior to our final exhibition of the season this coming Good Friday vs. U of H."
