NEW ORLEANS – Updated outdoor national team computer rankings issued by USTFCCCA have the Texas A&M men remaining in the No. 2 position while the Aggie women move up to No. 3 from a preseason No. 6 position.
Marks from freshman Tyra Gittens (5,700 heptathlon) and sophomore Serena Brown (198-1 discus) aided the improvement in the rankings for the Texas A&M women along with relay performances in the 4x100 (43.28) and 4x400 (3:33.15). For the Aggie men, Ilolo Izu (50.00 400m hurdles) and the 4x400 relay (3:02.74) were key events during the Texas Relays along with Sam Hardin (240-10 javelin) from earlier this outdoor season.
