BRYAN, Texas – The drive toward to a national championship begins Monday morning as the Texas A&M men's golf team tees off the NCAA Bryan Regional at Traditions Club. The Aggies will begin their round at 7:30 a.m.
The Aggies will be playing in their 15th NCAA Tournament in the past 16 seasons as well as their 44th overall showing in the NCAA field.
"I'd like to think we've put our performance at the SEC Championship behind us," Texas A&M head coach J.T. Higgins said. "We've been playing well this week at home and the course is looking great. It'll be set up tough but I think we're looking forward to the challenge. Our guys don't feel like they played very well at the Aggie Invitational so we've still got a bit of a chip on our shoulder."
Texas A&M enters the NCAA Tournament ranked No. 2 by GolfStat while checking in at No. 3 nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings as well as the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
Traditions (opened 2004) will be set up to play at par-72, 7,121 yards.
