LAS VEGAS- Former Texas A&M women's basketball All-American Kelsey Bone prepares for her fifth WNBA season, as she and the Las Vegas Aces open their season Sunday at Connecticut at 12 p.m. CT.
Â
Bone has scored 1,269 points and amassed 699 rebounds over four WNBA seasons, and is starting her first season with the recently-relocated Las Vegas Aces. Bone was selected as an Eastern Conference All-Star and earned the WNBA Most Improved Player Award in 2015, as she averaged 15.0 points and 6.1 rebounds for Connecticut that season.
Â
Aggies will want to circle June 15 and August 17 on their calendars, as Bone's Aces pay a visit to the Dallas Wings, their only trips to Texas this season.
Â
Three other Aggies, Sydney Colson, Adaora Elonu and Khaalia Hillsman participated in WNBA training camps, but were among the final cuts. All three are strong candidates to be picked up mid-season by a WNBA team as a free agent.
