COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M men's tennis will serve as the host to Cal, Virginia and Western Michigan for the 2019 ITA Kick Off Weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center, January 26-27, 2019.

The yearly ITA Kick-Off Weekend draft allows teams to select which of the 15 host sites they will travel to compete for a spot in the ITA Indoor Team Championships. The 2019 Indoor Championships will be hosted by Illinois, as the host the Illini automatically qualify for the 16-team field. With the 17th selection in Wednesday's draft the Bears chose to travel to central Texas while the Cavaliers joined them with the 23rd selection. Following a nearly two-hour wait, the 51st and final selection of the day was made by the Broncos to complete the College Station pod.

The Aggies finished the 2018 season ranked No. 4 in the ITA team rankings to earn the host spot for the fifth straight season. The Maroon & White topped LSU and Cal Poly in the 2018 Kick-Off Weekend to qualify for the ITA Indoor Team Championships in Seattle. While in the Pacific Northwest last February the Aggies picked up impressive wins over then-No. 11 Florida and No. 3 North Carolina en route to a berth in the semifinals for the first time in program history.
