Texas A&M’s Pickrem Named to Canadian Pan Pacific Championship Roster

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada -- Texas A&M senior swimmer Sydney Pickrem was named to the Canadian Pan Pacific Championships roster, set to take place next month in Tokyo, Japan.

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada -- Texas A&M senior swimmer Sydney Pickrem was named to the Canadian Pan Pacific Championships roster, set to take place next month in Tokyo, Japan.
 
At the Canadian Swimming Trials, Pickrem earned her spot on the roster, winning the women's 200 IM with a time of 2:10.66. Pickrem's season-best time of 2:09.92 ranks fourth in the world.
 
During her junior season with the Aggies, Pickrem was named the SEC Swimmer of the Year and was the co-winner of the SEC Commissioner's Trophy. At the SEC Championships, she recorded three individual victories and anchored the Maroon & White's winning 800 free relay. At the NCAA Championships, Pickrem up the bronze medal in the 200 and 400 IM and 200 breaststroke. She set school records in the 200 and 400 IM and helped the 800 free relay to a school record.
