Complete 2018-19 Schedule

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M women's tennis head coach Mark Weaver announced the Aggies' challenging 2018-19 schedule, which includes 17 home dual matches as well as two major tournaments to be held at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

The Aggies were picked to serve as host of the ITA Texas Regionals on October 18-22, with the singles and doubles winners advancing to the prestigious USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in November in Flushing, N.Y. A&M also will host the SEC Women's Tennis Tournament, April 17-21, with the winner receiving an automatic berth in the 2019 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship.

A&M opens the fall slate at the Big 5 Challenge at TCU on Sept. 20-23 before returning home to host the ITA Texas Regional. A&M closes out the fall schedule at the UNLV Rebel Invite in Las Vegas, Nov. 9-11.

A&M is slated to play 28 regular season dual matches, 19 of which are against teams that were in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) final rankings last season. Of A&M's 17 home matches, 11 are against teams that were in the final rankings, including a match against NCAA runner-up and defending SEC regular-season and tournament champion Vanderbilt on March. 15.

The Aggies open the spring dual match season on the road, taking on both Utah and Grand Canyon on Jan. 12 in Newport, Calif. A&M makes its home season debut with a doubleheader against New Mexico State and Houston on Jan. 19. It marks the start of a nine-match home stand for the Aggies.

A&M will then hit the road, playing at Illinois on Feb. 14 and at Oklahoma on Feb. 17 before returning to the Mitchell Tennis Center for a four-match homestand, playing host to Abilene Christian and UTRGV in a doubleheader on Feb. 23 before opening SEC play by hosting both Auburn and Alabama on March 1 and 3, respectively.

The regular season concludes with a match at eighth-ranked Ole Miss on April 14 before the Aggies host the SEC Tournament on April 17-21.

Weaver returns four sophomores from last year's team that went 17-11 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for a 19th consecutive year. He also welcomes four freshmen who make up a recruiting class that was ranked No. 2 in the nation in Tennis Recruiting Network's Top 25 Spring Rankings.
