COLLEGE STATION, Texas – For weeks three and four of the 2019 SEC Baseball schedule, the Texas A&M Aggies host Missouri to end March and travel to LSU to start April.
Â
The three-game set against Missouri is slated for March 29-31 while the trip to Baton Rouge has the Aggies playing at Alex Box Stadium on April 5-7.
Â
The series are two of the three most-played rivalries for the Aggies among SEC opponents. Texas A&M has played Missouri 87 times, tied with Arkansas for their most-played SEC series. The Aggies own a 52-34-1 edge versus Mizzou. The Maroon & White are 25-20-1 all-time against LSU.
Â
Missouri's last visit to Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park came in 2015 with Texas A&M claiming two of three in the series. The Aggies have claimed the last five series against the Tigers in Aggieland.
Â
Since the Maroon & White joined the SEC prior to the 2013 campaign, the Texas A&M-LSU clash is annually among the most anticipated series in the league. Eight of the 18 games played since 2013 have been decided by one run. The last time Texas A&M traveled to Baton Rouge, Walker Pennington delivered game-winning, three-run home run as the Aggies erased a 3-0 deficit in the ninth inning to shock the Tigers in the rubber match, 4-3.
Â
All SEC series are subject to a shift to a Thursday-Saturday series as warranted for facilitating television broadcasts.
Â
Texas A&M finished the 2018 campaign with a 40-22 mark, making their 34th NCAA Championship appearance overall and their 12th in a row. The Aggies' return 17 letterwinners and six starting position players for the 2019 season.
