COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Aggies' junior midfielder Grace Piper was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week following last weekend's glorious successes in victories over the Oklahoma Sooners (3-1) and the No. 9 Santa Clara Broncos (4-0).

After being held off the stat sheet for the first four matches of the year, Piper exploded for five points on two goals and one assist in the Aggies' triumph against the Sooners.

Trailing Oklahoma, 1-0, coming out of the intermission, Piper scored in the first two minutes of the second half, sending in a shot from 10 yards out on a corner kick play. Ten minutes later, she added a go-ahead goal on another corner kick offering, punching in a shot after the Aggies' first shot was blocked. For good measure, Piper added an assist on a goal by Ally Watt in the 64th minute.

Piper has started all six matches in 2018 as the Maroon and White have started 6-0-0 for the first time since 1999.

For her career, Piper has played in 48 matches, including 44 starts. She has 24 points with 10 goals and four assists. She was named to the SEC All-Freshman team in 2016.

The Aggies have had a player recognized on each of the three TDS National Teams of the Week with Ally Watt getting tabbed an honorable mention after the first two weekends of the season.

Texas A&M returns to action Friday when they host the Colorado College Tigers in an 8:00 p.m. contest at Ellis Field.
