Aggies Face Mississippi Schools in SEC Weeks Seven and Eight

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies face the SEC's Magnolia State contingent in weeks seven and eight of the league's 2019 baseball schedule.
 
The Aggies travel to play the Ole Miss Rebels on April 26-28 and host the Mississippi State Bulldogs from May 3-5.
 
Since the Maroon & White joined the SEC prior to the 2013 campaign, the Texas A&M-Ole Miss series has become one of the most intense rivalries. The teams are 9-9 in the last 18 meetings and in 2018 all four games were one-run affairs, with the Rebels winning three of the contests. Texas A&M has had mixed results in their past visits to Oxford. They won their series in 2013, split two games in 2015 and dropped the most recent series in 2017.
 
After snapping a seven-game losing streak versus the Bulldogs in 2014, the Aggies have won 10 of the last 14 games against Mississippi State, including two of three in Starkville in 2018. The Bulldogs are coming off a magical run to the College World Series. After dropping their opening game of the Tallahassee Regional to Oklahoma, 20-10, Mississippi State eked by host Florida State, 3-2, and then won the next three games in impressive fashion to claim the title. The Bulldogs then bested Vanderbilt in a Super Regional.
 
All SEC series are subject to a shift to a Thursday-Saturday series as warranted for facilitating television broadcasts.
 
Texas A&M finished the 2018 campaign with a 40-22 mark, making their 34th NCAA Championship appearance overall and their 12th in a row. The Aggies' return 17 letterwinners and six starting position players for the 2019 season.
