The Maroon & White boast a school-record 23-match unbeaten streak with their last loss coming at Auburn (0-1) on September 15, 2017. The run is three games shy of the SEC record of 26 set by Florida in 1998-99.
 
The Aggies also enter the match with a nine-game win streak in SEC league play and a 12-game win streak against SEC opponents.
 
Texas A&M has spent a majority of the 2018 campaign in an enviable position. Over the course of 720 minutes of play, The Aggies have trailed for just 9:03. The Maroon & White have owned the lead for441:09 and action has been tied for 269:48.
 
The Aggies have strung together nine consecutive games scoring multiple goals. It marks the longest string for Texas A&M since the 2001 campaign when they scored 2-plus in 10 straight games. The school record is 11 consecutive games from Oct. 15, 1994 to Sept. 8, 1995.
 
Texas A&M is excelling on both ends of the pitch. The Aggies rank 14th in the country in scoring average (2.85) and seventh in goals-against average (0.25). The Maroon & White are one of three teams in the nation to rank in the top 15 of both categories. Texas A&M is joined in the club by Mississippi State (3rd scoring, 12th goals-against) and Colorado (9th scoring, 10th goals-against).

The Aggies are 7-0-1 all-time against the Tigers, including 6-0-0 since Texas A&M joined the SEC. All the meetings have come since 2009 with the first two meetings coming in the NCAA Championship. Last year, Texas A&M needed an 87th minute goal by Ally Watt to post a 1-0 victory in Baton Rouge. In the last match played at Ellis Field, the Aggies earned a 3-0 victory in 2016 with goals by Grace Piper, Mikaela Harvey and Jordan Hill. Danielle Rice made three saves in the shutout.
 
LSU is 6-1-0 on the season. The Tigers enter the fray with a six-game shutout streak, outscoring opponents 11-0 over the span. The run includes victories against Liberty (1-0), Texas State (2-0), South Alabama (1-0), Lamar (3-0), Stetson (2-0) and Samford (2-0). Goalkeeper Caroline Brockmeier is one shutout shy of tying the SEC record string of seven set by South Carolina's Mollie Patton in 2009 and matched by Texas A&M's Jordan Day in 2012.
