McCain Named to TDS National Team of the Week

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M sophomore Addie McCain was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week following the Aggies' wins against LSU (3-0) and No. 18 Kansas (3-0).

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M sophomore Addie McCain was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week following the Aggies' wins against LSU (3-0) and No. 18 Kansas (3-0).

 

McCain scored a goal in each of the Aggies' victories as the Maroon & White set the program record for best start at 10-0-0. In Friday's win versus LSU, she broke the scoring seal with a penalty kick in the 18th minute. McCain was named Whataburger Player of the Match in the victory over Kansas. She dominated the midfield in the win against the Jayhawks and scored on a missile from 22 yards out in the 65th minute.

 

This season, McCain has three goals, including going 2-for-2 on penalty kicks.

 

McCain has 14 points for her career on four goals and six assists. She tallied eight points on one goal and six assists as a rookie in 2017.

 

The Aggies have had a player recognized on each of the five TDS National Teams of the Week with Ally Watt getting tabbed an honorable mention after the first two weekends of the season, Grace Piper earning a spot in week three and Asdis Halldórsdóttir picking up honorable mention last week.

Texas A&M returns to action Thursday when they travel to Fayetteville for a 7 p.m. contest against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The game will air on the SEC Network.
