Women’s Basketball Ranked As High As 12th In Preseason Magazines

Texas A&M was a unanimous Top 25 selection, and ranked as high as 12^th in the major preseason magazines for the 2018-19 women's basketball season. Chennedy Carter was tabbed a Preseason All-American by two of the publications.
 
The Aggies checked in at No. 12 in Street & Smith's Preseason Top 20, No. 24 in Lindy's Sports Preseason Top 25 and No. 25 in Athlon Sports' Preseason Top 25.
 
Carter was named Preseason First Team All-America by Street & Smith's and to the preseason third team by Lindy's Sports.
 
Last season, the Aggies went 26-10, and reached the NCAA Sweet 16, dropping a 90-84 contest against eventual national champion Notre Dame. Texas A&M is searching for its 14^th straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018-19.
 
The Aggies are one of 15 schools with three McDonald's All-Americans on the roster for 2018-19, including Carter, the 2017-18 unanimous National Freshman of the Year, Ciera Johnson and Aaliyah Wilson.
