COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Following her record-setting performance at No. 11 Florida and a 20-kill match at South Carolina, Texas A&M outside hitter Hollann Hans has been named the Co-SEC Offensive Player of the Week for volleyball, the Southeastern Conference announced today.

Hans, who shares the honor with Missouri's Kylie Deberg, receives the award for the second time this season after averaging 6.50 points, 5.78 kills, 0.56 aces and 2.11 digs per set during the Aggies' two road matches over weekend.

Hans began the weekend by breaking the Texas A&M records for most kills and most points in the 25-point scoring era with 32 kills and 34 points in the 3-2 loss at No. 11 Florida on Friday. Both totals are the most by an SEC player in a conference match this season.

Her 34 points ranks fourth in A&M program history, while her 32 kills ranks eighth all-time. Former Aggie All-American Laura Jones was the most recent A&M player to record more than 30 kills in a match, having tallied a still-standing all-time school record 38 kills in a five-set match at Missouri on Nov. 26, 2005, during the 30-point scoring cap era.

Hans, whose previous career highs were 28 kills and 32.5 points in a five-set match against Penn State on Sept. 2, 2017, also had 11 digs against the Gators to record her third consecutive and team-leading seventh double-double of the season.

Hans had 20 kills in a 3-1 loss at South Carolina on Sunday, marking the fourth consecutive match and the eighth time this season she has had 20 or more kills.

For the full season, Hans leads the SEC and is 14th in the nation with 5.14 points per set. She is second in the league and 14th in the nation with 0.51 aces per set, and she is fourth in the conference and 19th in the nation with 4.44 kills per set.

In conference matches only, Hans leads the SEC with 0.73 aces per set, is second with 5.39 points per set and ranks third with 4.45 kills per set.

Hans and the Aggies return to action Friday as they return home to play host to the Auburn Tigers at 6 p.m. at Reed Arena.
