No. 10 Men's Swimming Leads No. 11 Louisville After Day 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team leads No. 11 Louisville 100-66 after day one of a two-day dual meet at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the Ohio State campus. The Aggies trail Ohio State 94-72 after a day.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 10 Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team leads No. 11 Louisville 100-66 after day one of a two-day dual meet at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the Ohio State campus. The Aggies trail No. 16 Ohio State 94-72 after a day.
 
"This is truly an opportunity to really find out about ourselves and see what we're made of," head coach Jay Holmes said. "This is just what we expected, we're facing two really good schools where the competition is high. We needed today to see where we really were, we had some really close races, and we're down by 22 points to end the day and we find a way come out with a fire to get those points back tomorrow"
 
Benjamin Walker (1:48.24) earned his first individual win of the season in the 200 yard IM while freshman Shane Casas came in third (1:50.34). Casas came away with his first career win in the 200 yard backstroke (1:47.36).
 
In diving, A&M's captain Sam Thornton won the 3-meter dive with a score a 406.15.
 
Adam Koster (44.02) and Mike Thibert (44.21) finished 1-2 for the Aggies in the 100 yard freestyle.
 
In the 100 yard breaststroke, Benjamin Walker (54.85) and Raiz Tjon-A-Joe (55.19) finished strong with a 2-3 performance.
