COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M volleyball volunteer assistant coach Ashley Dusek is one of 14 recipients of the 2018 Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced today.
Â
The scholarship provides the opportunity for up-and-coming volleyball coaches to attend their first AVCA Convention, with the scholarship money covering convention registration and hotel costs. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to interact with successful coaches from all levels and explore limitless networking and educational opportunities available at the AVCA Convention.
Â
This year's AVCA Convention, to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from December 12-16 in conjunction with the NCAA Division I National Championship, will feature over 70 educational sessions with more than 2,000 volleyball coaches expected to be in attendance.
Â
Dusek, from East Bernard, Texas, is in her first season as volunteer assistant coach for the Aggies after completing a stellar career at the University of Kentucky, where she was the three-time Southeastern Conference libero of the year.
Â
Texas A&M is 12-7 overall and tied with Tennessee for fourth place in the SEC with a 5-2 record entering a showdown against the Lady Vols (14-5, 5-2 SEC) on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Reed Arena.
