COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M forward Ally Watt was honored as the SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Friday.
Â
The junior from Colorado Springs, Colo., made a triumphant return to the pitch at No. 14 South Carolina after missing last Sunday's match with an illness. Watt scored on a golden goal in the 100th minute for her fourth game-winner of the season.
Â
A monumental game-changer, Watt has scored the first goal of the match on seven occasions in 2018. On the season, she has 29 points on 13 goals and three assists.
Â
Watt moved into 12th place on the Aggies' career goals list with 31.
Â
This marks Watt's third SEC Player of the Week recognition, including her second of 2018. She was also named the SEC Freshman of the Week once in 2015.
Â
The Aggies return to action Tuesday with an SEC Quarterfinal match against South Carolina in Orange Beach, Alabama. Match time at Orange Beach Sportsplex is 2:30 p.m.
