The Aggies are one of 15 schools with three McDonald's All-Americans on the roster for 2018-19, including Chennedy Carter, the 2017-18 unanimous National Freshman of the Year, Ciera Johnson and Aaliyah Wilson. Last season, the Aggies went 26-10, and reached the NCAA Sweet 16, dropping a 90-84 contest against eventual national champion Notre Dame. Texas A&M is searching for its 14th straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018-19.
Oklahoma City checks in at No. 10 in the preseason NAIA Division I women's basketball rankings, marking their 246th straight appearance in the poll, the longest active streak in NAIA. The Stars won their 12th Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament title in the 2017-2018 season with a 28-6 record
