BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-- Texas A&M freshman standout swimmer Shaine Casas was named SEC Freshman of the Week for the second time, the league announced Tuesday.

Casas won two individual races, broke a pair of a school records, and was a part of three winning relays as the No. 13 Aggies won the Art Adamson Invitational.

He posted NCAA B-cut times in the 100 back (45.99), which ranks eighth nationally and tops among freshman, plus broke the school record in the 200 back (1:40.04) which ranks second nationally leads the nation's freshmen.

Casas was a part of the winning 200 free relay, 200 medley relay, and the 800 free relay, where he swam in the anchor position and took down the school record.Â

The Aggies return to the pool Saturday, December 1 hosting TCU at 10 a.m. at the Texas A&M Rec Center Natatorium.
