HANGZHOU, China ---Former Texas A&M All-American and four-time Jamaican Olympian Alia Atkinson has earned bronze in the 100-meter individual medley at the 2018 FINA World Swimming Championships.
Atkinson touched the wall in 58.11 to earn her second medal at the World Championships, as she won gold in the 50 meter breaststroke on Wednesday. Â
Tomorrow, Atkinson will be back in the pool attempting to win her third medal when she swims in the 100-meter breaststroke, an event in which the former Texas A&M NCAA Champion twice matched the short course meters world record of 1:02.36 originally set by Lithuanian swimmer Ruta Meilutyte in 2013.
