COLLEGE STATION – Aggie track and field had five student-athletes graduate in the December commencement services among the group of 38 Texas A&M student-athletes receiving degrees at Reed Arena.

The group from track and field included Shaina Burns (Genetics), Garrett Cragin (Sport Management), Mylik Kerley (University Studies Leadership), Will Williams (University Studies Leadership) and Audie Wyatt (University Studies Sports Conditioning).

Williams captured NCAA Indoor long jump gold competing in Texas A&M's Gilliam Stadium last March with a school record leap of 26 feet, 10 ½ inches and produced the school's best ever long jump effort outdoors with a wind-aided 27-1 which secured a silver medal at the SEC Championships.

Wyatt broke multiple school records in the pole vault during the indoor and outdoor seasons. In addition he collected four SEC gold medals and three silver medals during his career. Wyatt set the Texas A&M outdoor record twice, first with an 18-6 ½ effort in 2016 and then with an 18-8 ½ performance in 2017. Indoors, Wyatt scaled 18-1 in 2016 while claiming a SEC title and then improved to 18-2 ½ as silver medalist in the 2017 NCAA Championships.

Kerley set an indoor career best of 45.16 seconds in earning a bronze medal in the 400m at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships, becoming the No. 4 performer on the Aggie all-time list. Outdoors, his best of 44.85 ranks No. 8 in school history.

In anchoring the world record performance by Texas A&M in the 4x400 relay at the NCAA Indoor meet, Kerley split 44.51 as the Aggies finished in 3:01.39. His split ranks third all-time indoors and is the second fastest anchor leg. Kerley anchored the five fastest indoor 4x400 relays ever at Texas A&M over a two-year span.

Burns claimed a silver medal in the heptathlon at the 2018 SEC Championships while producing a career best score of 5,743 points and placed 14th in the NCAA Championships. Burns ranks No. 5 on the Aggie all-time list in the heptathlon and is the No. 4 performer in the pentathlon with her career best tally of 4,085 points.

Cragin cleared 7-1 ¾ in the high jump indoors and outdoors during his Aggie career and finished 15th in the 2017 NCAA Championships. Indoors, placing fifth in the 2018 SEC Championships, his performance is equal to No. 6 while his outdoor best, in winning a section at the 2017 Texas Relays, equals four others at No. 8 on the Texas A&M all-time list. Cragin's best finish in the SEC Outdoor Championships was fourth place in 2017.
