GAME PREVIEW: SEC Tournament vs. Ole Miss

HOOVER, Alabama – The Texas A&M Aggies face the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday with a spot in Sunday's SEC Tournament championship game on the line. Game time is slated for noon at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. A win would give the Aggies their second championship game appearance in the last three years.
Texas A&M's pitching staff has been dominating through three games in the tournament, giving up three runs, just two earned runs, good for a 0.67 ERA. They have held opponents to a .158 batting average, scattering 15 hits across the three contest. They've allowed just one extra-base hit and five walks while striking out 33. Kaylor Chafin and Asa Lacy, who combined on just three starts in the regular-season, both worked 6.0 innings in starts the first two rounds. John Doxakis took a no-hitter into the eighth in a 7.1 inning performance. Relievers Nolan Hoffman and Cason Sherrod both picked up three-inning saves, with Hoffman also adding a second save in 1.2 innings against Auburn.
Texas A&M's offense has also picked up its play in the tournament, batting .313 (30-for-96). Eight different Aggies have logged at least three hits, including Chris Andritsos, who has team highs with three runs, two home runs and four RBI.
To round out the stellar play, the Aggies have played two errorless games in Hoover.
The Aggies are looking for their second SEC Tournament crown, to go with their 2016 title. Texas A&M owns a 10-6 record all-time at the SEC Tournament logging a pair of wins in both 2013 and 2015 in addition to the four wins during the 2016 title run.
