The Aggies, who defeated Northwestern State earlier in the day and were attempting to avenge a 3-2 loss to the Sooners on Friday, finish the tournament 1-2 and conclude the pre-conference portion of their schedule, 7-5. Oklahoma (8-4) wins its own tournament by going 3-0.

SET-BY-SET SUMMARIES
Set 1 – Texas A&M was nearly flawless in the frame, hitting .548 with 17 kills without an error in 31 attempts, while OU was held to a .156 hitting efficiency. The set was tied, 4-4, before A&M erupted for six unanswered points. The Aggies continued to pull away and were leading, 18-10, when a kill by Hans marked the start of a 5-0 run. Oklahoma ended the rally with a kill, but Austin-Roark countered by tooling the block for a kill, putting the Aggies at set point. The Sooners got a kill before Palmer put down her sixth kill to close out the set.
Set 2 – Just as A&M had quickly pulled away in the opening set, Oklahoma jumped out to an early 10-1 lead in the second set and carried the momentum through the remainder of the frame. The Aggies, who were outhit, .375 to .154, managed to get within 17-14 following an ace by Palmer, but they were unable to complete the comeback as the Sooners went on a 4-1 run to pull ahead, 21-15. Enneking later put Oklahoma at set point, 24-17, but a Sooner service error and a kill by sophomore opposite hitter Samantha Sanders that capped off a long rally put the Aggies within 24-19. OU then got a kill to secure the win and even the match at a set apiece.
Set 3 – Palmer served an ace to give A&M its only lead, 9-8, before the Aggies fell out of sync, and Oklahoma took advantage of the miscues. The Sooners, who hit .243 while holding A&M to a -.027 hitting efficiency, held a 21-16 lead when they reeled off four consecutive points to close out the set and take a 2-1 lead in the match.
Set 4 – Oklahoma was leading, 7-5, when the Sooners scored four consecutive points courtesy of A&M errors. The Aggies managed to put together a 3-0 run but were unable to overcome the deficit. A&M remained within striking distance at 15-12 before Oklahoma used a 7-1 surge to build a 22-13 lead. The teams exchanged sideouts before an Oklahoma kill put the Sooners at match point, 24-15. A&M was then whistled for illegally reaching over the net on the final play.
