TUCSON, Ariz. – Senior Chandler Phillips shot a school record 19-under to win the Arizona Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon at the Sewailo Golf Club (par 71/7,292 yards). Phillips is the first Aggie to win the event through six appearances for the program. A&M tied for fourth as a team (281-272-279), shooting 17-under 832. Arizona took the top spot at 37-under 815, while Arizona State finished two strokes back in second and St. Mary's rounded out the top three.

Phillips birdied on four of the first seven holes of the day, adding four more to shoot 7-under on the day. The Huntsville, Texas native previously held two of the top three 54-hole records program records, setting a mark each of the last two seasons. The victory upped his school record total to seven career wins.

Freshman Sam Bennett had a strong first two rounds of play but eventually finished 5-under to tie for 16th. Sophomore Walker Lee made the third round his best of the tournament, finishing 2-under on the day and even par at 213, tying him in 36th.
