Texas A&M’s Bricker, Dance and Orsak Earn Riders of the Month Honors

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M Equestrian's Lisa Bricker, Caroline Dance and Sarah Orsak earned monthly honors from the National Collegiate Equestrian Association and Southeastern Conference, it was announced Thursday.

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M Equestrian's Lisa Bricker, Caroline Dance and Sarah Orsak earned monthly honors from the National Collegiate Equestrian Association and Southeastern Conference, it was announced Thursday.
 
Orsak, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, was named the Shorty's NCEA and SEC Horsemanship Rider of the Month, while Bricker, a freshman from Temecula, Calif., earned the Shorty's NCEA and SEC Reining Rider of the Month. Dance garnered SEC Equitation on the Flat distinction.
 
In January, Orsak registered a 9.5-point victory over South Dakota State's Emily Keiser, her largest margin of victory this season. Orsak leads the Texas A&M Horsemanship team with a 7-0-1 record, with one Most Outstanding Player (MOP) honor.
 
Dance led the Aggies in a shutout over the Jackrabbits in Flat as the sophomore topped Matilyn Skinner, 83-77, en route to being named MOP.
 
In her first collegiate ride, Bricker topped SDSU's Jordan Gates 73-69, earning MOP honors.
 
The Aggies return to action at Georgia on Saturday, February 9. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the UGA Equestrian Complex.
