NEW ORLEANS – Texas A&M senior Jacob Perry earned individual All-Academic recognition from United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) while the Aggie men and women cross country teams were each honored as an All-Academic team for the 2018 season.

Perry, who is majoring in Physics, placed 23rd in the NCAA South Central Region meet this past fall as the Aggies placed third in team scoring. Texas A&M men posted a grade point average of 3.10. The Aggie women, who finished fourth in the NCAA South Central Region meet, posted a GPA of 3.45.

There were 267 student-athletes who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships. In the team category, there were 427 teams that earned All-Academic distinction for having a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
