Women's Golf Opens Spring Season Monday At Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Texas A&M women's golf team looks to start their first tournament of spring season strong this week at the Moon Golf Invitational, with tee times beginning at 7 a.m. CT Monday.

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Texas A&M women's golf team looks to start their first tournament of spring season strong this week at the Moon Golf Invitational, with tee times beginning at 7 a.m. CT Monday.
 
The 54-hole event takes place over two days at Duran Golf Club, which is set at par 72 and 6309 yards. No. 24 Oklahoma, Augusta, Campbell, FIU, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Old Dominion, Seminole State, South Florida and UCF join the Aggies in the 16-team field.
 
Amber Park leads the Aggie lineup entering the event, and is seeking her third top-10 finish of the season. Brooke Tyree enters the spring with a 74.73 stroke average, which ranks sixth-best in A&M history among freshman.
 
Courtney Dow returns to the lineup, coming off a strong 5-under, sixth place, performance at the Jim West Classic and having shot under par in each of her last four rounds. Katie Finley has shot par-or-better in two of her six career rounds and Ava Schwienteck is seeking her third top-20 finish of the season.
 
Elizabeth Caldarelli, competing as an individual, is making her first tournament appearance since Sept. 18.
