NEW ORLEANS – Texas A&M's Devin Dixon is among the 10 athletes selected for the men's pre-NCAA Indoor watch list for The Bowerman, as announced on Thursday by USTFCCCA.

One of three selections from the SEC, Dixon is joined by Mondo Duplantis of LSU and Grant Holloway of Florida. Others making the watch list include Grant Fisher of Stanford, Oliver Hoare of Wisconsin, Matt Ludwig of Akron, Houston's Kahmari Montgomery, South Dakota's Chris Nilsen, Divine Oduduru of Texas Tech and Payton Otterdahl of North Dakota State.

The junior season for Dixon has included fast times at 400m and 800m. He ran 1:45.27 in his first race at 800m in January, breaking the American collegiate record of 1:45.88 set in 1999 as well as the Aggie school record of 1:45.93 that was set by Donavan Brazier in 2016.

In addition to leading the collegiate ranks with his 1:45.27 this season, Dixon also ranks third on the 2019 world list. Dixon ranks as the No. 3 performer on the all-time collegiate list as well as the U.S. all-time list.

Dixon recently defended his SEC Indoor title in the 800m and claimed a fourth consecutive conference title in the event when including outdoor victories.

Coming into the season with an indoor best of 47.74, Dixon improved to 46.95 a week before his record performance in the 800m. Then two weeks later at Clemson Dixon lowered his indoor best to 45.68, which leads the SEC, ranks sixth among collegians and is 10th on the 2019 world list.

Dixon also picked up his third SEC gold medal in the 4x400 relay as he supplied an anchor split of 44.60 as the Aggies won in 3:03.61. When Texas A&M raced at Clemson they posted a season best of 3:01.56 as runner-up to Houston's world-leading 3:03.51. Dixon produced a split of 44.24, which is the world's fastest ever split on an indoor 4x400 relay.

Up next for Dixon and the Aggies are the NCAA Indoor Championships, held March 8-9 in Birmingham, Alabama.
