BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Texas A&M sophomore guard Chennedy Carter was named SEC Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week Tuesday, after leading the Aggies to a pair of wins and averaging 24.0 points per game.

The Mansfield, Texas native scored 24 points in the Aggies' win at No. 11 Kentucky Thursday, clinching the No. 3-seed in the SEC Tournament for Texas A&M. She scored seven of the Aggies' last nine points, to put away the 62-55 victory, plus added seven rebounds and five assists.

In A&M's 66-53 win against Arkansas Sunday, the sophomore phenom posted her fourth 20+ point first-half, helping the Aggies build a 41-26 halftime lead. She made 61.1% of her shots against Arkansas, her best field-goal percentage of the SEC season, and added six rebounds and four steals to her 24 total points. It marked her fifth consecutive 20+ point game, and 10th in the last 11 games.

Carter set the Texas A&M sophomore scoring record, now with 584 points on the year and holds the school records for both freshman season and sophomore season scoring. She set an A&M record with 1,400 points in her first two seasons, passing Danielle Adams' mark of 1,386. She also passed Adams for 11th on the Aggies' career scoring list.

Carter extended Texas A&M records with her 36th consecutive game of scoring 10+ points and her 44th career 20+ point game over the course of the week. This season, she leads the SEC with 22.5 points per game to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Â
