BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas A&M Equestrian's Ashley Davidson was named the Southeastern Conference's March Horsemanship Rider of the Month, the conference office announced Thursday.
This marks the second time Davidson has been named a SEC Rider of the Month as she earned the award in October.
The junior recorded two wins in March with a Most Outstanding Player honor as the Aggies competed against No. 1 Auburn and then-No. 5 Baylor.
The Burbank, Wash., native opened the month with a 76-67.5 victory over Auburn's Kelsey Jung, before topping Kaylee Mellott, 74.5-71, in Waco.
Davidson is one of four Aggies with eight wins in Horsemanship this season as the group is currently 10-2-1 and ranked second in the latest NCEA Event Rankings.
Texas A&M returns to action against Georgia in the first round of the SEC Championship March 29 at 9 a.m. at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
